The program begins Fall 2026, with classes starting August 24, 2026. Spring 2027 enrollment is also available, with classes beginning January 11, 2027.

Yes. The program is 100% online with asynchronous course delivery for maximum flexibility. Clinical education and field experience requirements are completed in a local K-12 setting.

Students must pass three FTCE exams during their final internship to earn initial Florida teacher certification in Computer Science K-12: the FTCE General Knowledge, FTCE Professional Education, and FTCE Computer Science K-12.

The final application deadline for Fall 2026 is June 1, 2026. All required documents (transcripts, etc.) must be submitted to USF by June 15, 2026. Classes begin August 24, 2026.
